ND eCare School Health Program
The ND eCare School Health Program was developed with the mindset of providing or extending school nursing services in an affordable manner through a telehealth platform. The goal of the program is to minimize health related barriers to learning by providing safe, effective care from an experienced school nurse.
Our Approach
CREA partners with Avel eCare to provide schools with all-day access to school nurses. CREA's school nurses provide the needed medical training and supports for school staff. The nurses at Avel eCare provide the all-day school nurse access for schools to assist in caring for students with:
-
Chronic conditions - diabetes, asthma, seizures, allergies, etc.
-
Urgent needs - injury and illness
Services Provided
Primary Nurse Service
The Primary Nurse Service serves as the school building's school nurse. The eNurse will obtain doctor's orders, create care plans, attend school 504 and health related IEP meetings, manage the care of students with chronic conditions and students with illness and injury.
Extender Nurse Service
The Extender Nurse Service supports your school nurse by "filling the gap" when they are off-site or otherwise unavailable. The eNurses work in collaboration with the on-site school nurse to provide a continuation of student care.
eCare Behavioral Health
eCare Behavioral Health Services provides student counseling services through the telehealth platform. This service removes the barrier of travel for students and their families. Counseling services are provided by a LMSW employed by Avel eCare.
